“Do you know the one “it’s two hit’s to who”
I had the pleasure of catching up with one of my former clients Dennis Ramplin from KLM and Allied solutions, it was a hoot, he was responsible for one of my first ever-commercial commissions, it’s been down hill ever since.
Owl’s Ready for painting
In his new role as Director of Marketing & Communications for the Schools of King Edward VI in Birmingham, he asked me to shoot this Boardroom shot with a difference, for the BIG HOOT, in the original board room dating back hundred of years, the School are the main educational sponsors for this Exciting project.
It is a collaboration project between Birmingham’s Children’s hospital and Wild in Art to stage the biggest ever mass participation project, public art event in the city. The owls will be decorated by artists and community groups and put on display through out the city.
Charity Trail throughout Birmingham Centre
‘Due to launch this summer, The Big Hoot will see Birmingham become a virtual aviary with more than a hundred 165cm owl sculptures set to appear throughout all ten districts of the city. Presented by leading arts and education company, Wild in Art working in partnership with Birmingham Children’s Hospital, The Big Hoot has been launched to help boost business, tourism and civic pride throughout the region, with an ultimate aim of raising more than £500,000 for Birmingham Children’s Hospital.’
Nothing to tricky with this one mostly daylight but they only had three owls so a little bit of moving around and photoshop solved it as usual, although made of fibre glass they weighed a ton.
This has been one of many interesting and down right bizarre project I have been involved with over the last 30 years, check out some of my other work that I am around off at https://www.rossvincent.co.uk/blog/
