This was a fun one, taking a 5 foot fibre glass owl around all the important landmarks in the city. Commissioned by Dennis Ramplin for King Edwards school’s for PR and cross platform usage to increase awareness of the charity event which is taking part through out the city in the summer, The Big Hoot.
The time consuming part of the job was organising permissions, gone are the days when you can ring someone up, say I am doing a job for charity can I photograph a owl outside !
I have learnt more about risk assessment, method statements, trip hazards had to increase my public liability from 2 million to 5 !! But still when it came to doing the job it was real fun all went well and created a lot of interest with twitter alive with images in real time.
With a big thanks to Brindley Place, Bullring, Botanical Gardens, Soho House, Aston hall, Birmingham Airport, Symphony Hall, Birmingham Council, Canon Hill park, King’s Heath park and finally Garden Café in King’s Heath
